About Ilah

Ilah, the creator of Range of Light Candle Co., is originally from San Diego. She started rock climbing at age 14 and immediately began taking road trips to camp and climb around Arizona, Southern California, and Yosemite. One such trip brought her through Bishop in late July. This particular afternoon was intensely windy, and broad lenticular clouds stretched across the sky, a Sierra Wave, as she’s come to learn. Climbing in the Buttermilks, her crash pads blowing away, she first felt the power of the Eastern Sierra range and how small she was in proximity. This experience was formative. Over the subsequent decades, she returned to Bishop countless times, feeling more at home there than anywhere else. 

Ilah now lives in downtown Bishop full-time. She works as a doctor of physical therapy and now owns Range of Light Candle Co., a project born of passion for this unrivaled landscape.
